      Microsoft Power BI Integration Section

      This article will provide a walkthrough on setting up Microsoft Power BI with bvoip's 1Stream integration.

      1Stream Level Feature Notice

      This feature is available for only Core level 1Stream users and up. If you would like this feature to be available, then please reach out to your bvoip Sales Representative to upgrade user licensing. 

      Additional Licensing Required

      This integration requires the users accessing it to have Microsoft Power BI Pro as a minimum, in addition to the 1Stream licensing. This is included in the Microsoft 365 E5 licensing that is included in many partnership competencies.

      Companies using Power BI Premium Capacity or Fabric F64 and above only need a Power BI Premium license for the user creating the reports.

      Why Power BI?

      Many Microsoft 365 partners now have access to Power BI Pro via the Microsoft 365 E5 licensing included in their partnership competency. Even if you don't currently have a license, Power BI Pro is a lower cost option for data analytics compared to many other platforms.

      There is also the Power BI Premium Capacity (or Fabric Capacity) level which allows you to store your data in a centralized cloud location and have all users access the same data set and reports, on a much faster cadence than a published Pro or Premium Per User report.

      Setting up the Power BI Integration

      We recommend using our Power BI templates so you can start off with some pre-formatted visuals for ideas, and you just need to enter in your API Key from 1Stream.

      Legacy CSV Import

      Alternatively, you can follow the guides below to simply export your data to CSV files which can then be manually imported and actioned.

      1. Set up the Dropbox or OneDrive integration to get the CSV exports.
      2. Follow the guide Opening .CSV files in Power BI to load the data.
