There are several places where people press 0 or are prompted to speak to an operator in BVoIP's Cloud PBX powered by 3CX. The challange however is that you only have the ability to set one default operator extension for the entire phone system. Here is a tip on how to work around that limitation.

Workaround

1. Create a dummy extension(unregistered) setting the alias in SIP ID as "0". Then under Forwarding Rules tab of this extension, forward all calls to any extension, ring group, or call queue that you want.

Things to Consider

  • The default system operator is the same for all call queues, voicemails, etc
  • You can set different options for 0 in Auto Attendants or digital receptionsts
  • You could also change all the system prompts in the phone system that provide an option to press 0 for an operator
  • If you are sharing a phone system among multiple orginizations beware that this setting should be factored into your call routing...
