What is the Operator Extension?
This article will provide insight asto the operator extension's purpose and how it is used.
What is the Operator Extension?
The Operator Extension is the extension that will be the destination for when a caller needs to transfer out of voicemail or other menus.
Callers can be transferred to the Operator Extension by pressing the * key.

Making Extension Changes
If you are needing to re-use an extension number, we recommend deleting the existing extension with the desired extension number and re-creating the extension with the correct information. More information on this can be found in our Repurposing User Extensions article.
