Using Emergency Dial Codes for Office Hours and Statuses

This article will provide a walkthrough on how to use the Emergency dial codes to adjust the office statuses and hours in the bvoip phone system.

Emergency Code to Control IN/OUT of Office status of Phone System

This code is designed for emergency services when you need to change the routes of all your VoIP Lines to IN or Out of office quickly with a single phone call. This dial code is unspecified by default for security purposes and when used, will set the whole bvoip Phone System to either:

Setting the In Office Hours Emergency Code

If the Administrator dials the office hours code with an appending digit of 1, a prompt will be played stating that the phone system is now set to In Office Hours.

This means that the Phone System will disregard the current time and day, regardless if holiday, and set all the routes of the Gateways, VoIP Providers and DID/DDI’s to route to the In Office hours destination.

Setting the Out of Office Hours Emergency Code

If the Administrator dials the office hours code with an appending digit of 2, a prompt will be played stating that the Phone System is now set to Out of Office Hours.

This means that the bvoip Phone System will disregard the current time and day, regardless if holiday, and set all the routes of PSTN Gateways, VoIP Providers and DID/DDI’s to route to the Out of Office hours destination.

Setting the Default Office Hours Operation Code

If the Administrator dials the office hours code with no appending digit, a prompt will be played stating that the Phone System is now using the Defaulted Office Hours.

This means that the Phone System will override the previous 2 commands and follow the office hours set into the phone system.
