SIPTrunk.com Portability Checker
This article will provide a walkthrough on how to verify the portability of phone numbers in the SIPTrunk.com portal.
Why Check Portability?
Checking portability of numbers before submitting a request helps with planning out the porting process. Some numbers may require additional steps with their current carriers and others may not be portable.
SMS Portability Notice
If you are porting over SMS based numbers, this tool would only check if the number can be ported. Once ported, the number would need to have SMS functionality reinstated through SIPTrunk.com. The SMS functionality can not be done in advance of the port being completed.
How to Check Portability
- Log into the SIPTrunk.com Portal.
- Go to the My Number Porting section. A submenu will appear.
- Select the Check Portability subsection. The page will refresh.
- In the textbox, enter the desired numbers that need to have their portability verified.
- Click on the Submit button. The screen will refresh to confirm if a number is portable or not.
How to Check Portability for Reseller Clients
- Log into the SIPTrunk.com Portal.
- Go to the Customers section. A submenu will appear.
- Select the Customers subsection. The page will refresh, displaying your client list.
- Click on the ID for the client to have a portability check. The page will refresh with a new menu.
- Click on the LNP tab. The screen will refresh.
- Select the Check Portability tab.
- In the textbox, enter the desired numbers that need to have their portability verified.
- Click on the Submit button. The screen will refresh to confirm if a number is portable or not.
