Editing MAC Addresses in the Managed Provisioning Portal
This article will provide a walkthrough on how to edit the MAC addresses on scanned in devices in the managed provisioning portal.
Zero Touch Made Easier
bvoip now has integrated the Managed Provisioning Portal to provision and manage devices without going into two portals! For more information on this, please see our Activating the MPP Integration article.
Editing MAC Addresses in the Managed Provisioning Portal
MAC Addresses can not be changed in the Managed Provisioning Portal. If a device is loaded into the Managed Provisioning Portal with an incorrect MAC address, it will need to be deleted and re-scanned in.
For instructions on deleting, scanning and assigning the previous device, please see the following Knowledge Base articles:
- Removing a Device in the Managed Provisioning Portal
- Checking In and Assigning Devices in the Managed Provisioning Portal
Please ensure that the MAC address is reflected correctly in the extension's phone template within the phone system. If that MAC address is incorrect as well, it will need to be matched with the MAC listed in the Managed Provisioning Portal.
