Dial-By-Name Directory Troubleshooting Guide
This article will provide a troubleshooting guide on how to correct issues with dial-by-name directory.
Name Not Reflected
If there is a user missing from the dial-by-name directory, then please ensure that self identification recording has been completed by the extension user. The extension must complete the recording in order to be included in the dial-by-name directory.

No Prompt for Directory
If the names have been recorded as shown in the Dial-By-Directory article, the dial-by-name option must be setup within the auto-attendant. If the auto-attendant needs to announce there to be a button press for accessing the directory, the intro prompt on the auto-attendant recording will need to be updated and the dial-by-name option will need to be selected on the desired key under the Menu Options section of the IVR.
