Adjusting the Recording Extension for the Voicemail Drop Feature
This article will provide a walkthrough on how Administrators can edit the recording extension for the 1stream voicemail drop feature.
1Stream Level Feature Notice
This feature is available for only Power level 1Stream users and up. If you would like this feature to be available, then please reach out to your bvoip Sales Representative to upgrade user licensing.
What is a Voicemail Drop?
The Voicemail Drop feature in the 1Stream client allows call agents to create voicemail messages in advance and choose from a list of their pre-made voicemails to send when they reach a client's voicemail box.
The Default Extension
The default extension number for the voicemail recording is 806.
Changing the Voicemail Drop Recording Extension
- Log into the 1Stream Portal.
- Go to the Administration menu.
- Choose the Manage Organization option. The page will refresh.
- Scroll down to the Experience Settings section.
- In the VM Record Ext textbox, input the desired extension to be used.
- Click on the Save button.
Once this is done, then the end users will be prompted in the 1Stream client to use the newly designated extension when creating voicemail drops.
